Police in Orlando had to escort students to their cars after two bears were spotted in a tree in the middle of a local school campus.According to school leaders, they were initially spotted at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. That’s about the time some of the students arrived at the school on Technology Drive. There were a number of people staring up into the trees at the Orlando Science Technology campus. That is where the high school is located, and right across the road is the elementary school for the campus.Not knowing if the bears would possibly come down, while classes were in session, the administrators decided to lock down the property and keep everyone inside until police and FWC officers arrived.A biologist told WESH 2 News that two bears were spotted roaming through neighborhoods in Maitland, Winter Park and College Park Monday night.If they do not come down by Tuesday night, officers may consider tranquilizing them.Their biggest concern is that the bears will try to cross into traffic near Princeton and John Young Parkway.
