Circle K gas stations will begin to sell cannabis at their stores as early as next year. In legal states across the US, these prominent gas stations will move on to a greener type of product, cannabis. This news mainly focuses on Florida, where the gas stations are rather common. Circle K has partnered with Green Thumb industries to bring cannabis to multiple different locations in Florida primarily and other states where weed is legal, and Circle K is found.

As of right now, there are only 10 locations where the cannabis will be dispensed. Given there are over 600 Circle K locations, we can expect more weed in the future. At these gas stations, customers can buy a multitude of different cannabis products such as flower, pre-rolls, gummies, and vapes.

“The opening of RISE Express stores at Circle K locations is a game-changer. Convenience is a strong channel in retail, and people want more access to cannabis…The new RISE Express model is a huge step forward in making it easier and more efficient for patients to purchase high-quality cannabis as part of their everyday routine when stopping by their local convenience store,” Green Thumb CEO Ben Kovler, said in a statement.

Selling recreational marijuana is still illegal in Florida but medical cannabis is allowed. With over 700,000 medical marijuana patients in Florida, we can expect the gas station’s weed sales to go relatively well. As Florida moves on to legalize recreational marijuana in the future, they will have a good foothold in the cannabis market for those who wish to purchase recreationally.
