A couple cannabis farms in California have become the focal point of the Trump administration’s war on illegal immigration.

Last week on July 10th, two raids occurred at two locations ran by Glass House Farms. One was in Camarillo, and the other in Carpinteria, both outside of Los Angeles. In total, more than 360 people were arrested. One man fell from a roof during the raid and died of his injuries a few days after.

During the raid in Camarillo, a group of over 500 grew to protest the actions, adding to the chaotic scene. Along with the hundreds of non-citizen arrests, 4 US citizens were arrested for “assaulting or resisting officers.”

14 children were taken into custody who were said to be working illegally at the farm (you have to be 21 years old to work at a Cannabis farm).

Four arrests of the 361 were to people who had violent criminal backgrounds. This included attempted rape and child molestation convictions and burglaries.

This is Trump’s largest raid to date, and it’s unfortunate it had to happen within the premises of a cannabis company.

The Greater Los Angeles area is bracing for more raids in the coming weeks.
