Harvest season is a time of abundance on any farm, and as your cup overflows, you have the opportunity to share the fruits of your labor with your neighbors and community. Local orchards invite visitors to pick apples and make cider. Tulip growers open their fields for guests to take fresh bouquets. It was only a matter of time before harvest season on cannabis farms brought in similar traditions.

This year, Phantom Farms led the charge with the Harvest Ninja VIP Tour, a private 2-day event in mid-October that showcased the amazing work their farms have put in over the last 12 months—and what they have been building for over 10 years. It was a thoughtfully curated weekend of activity, breathtaking scenery, and exceptional cannabis.

Harvest Season: Life on a Cannabis Farm in Southern Oregon

Phantom Farms is a beautifully crafted lifestyle brand that happens to grow fantastic herb, too. Their ethos of adventure, family, and gratitude were reinforced with every stop we made throughout the weekend.

And what would a harvest event be without enjoying some of the seasonal crop?

Five Memorable Strains

One of the first stops we made on our Harvest Ninja adventure was a tour of Phantom’s brand new, meticulously crafted indoor farm. Within the walls of this facility, their experienced cultivation team is applying Korean Natural Farming (KNF) techniques, an organic and thoughtful approach to agriculture that emphasizes the natural terpene profile each strain exhibits. It was exciting to see the cultivators at Phantom apply these time-honored growing practices using the functionality and control that a state-of-the-art indoor facility offers.

Later that night, while sipping craft beer and devouring a buffet of delicious food, the Phantom team shared their vision with us—as well as the results of the first indoor harvest.

One Unforgettable Weekend

With cannabis so memorable, it’s tough to see how the weekend could get any better. But the fact is, Phantom Farms knows how to host a weekend of adventure.

In the Harvest Ninja VIP Tour, we also visited Crater Lake to take in central Oregon’s natural beauty. Then we stopped at some local staples for the best food and beer Bend has to offer. We were up early both days, but with plush accommodations, comfortable transportation, and an endless supply of good vibes made every stop along the way effortless, enjoyable, and unique.

We ate well, we drank well, and we most certainly smoked well.

The weekend was a reminder of why we all love cannabis in the first place. It brings people together, and it was amazing to spend a few days with industry friends new and old.

Shout out to all the good people at High Quality in Corvallis, Tumbleweed Cannabis Co. in Hines, CannaDaddy’s in Portland, Good Karma in Springfield, and DOPE Magazine who joined us for the weekend of adventure. If you haven’t had a chance to enjoy any of the mighty tasty cannabis Phantom Farms grows, be sure to pick some up on your next trip to Oregon.
