A West Bridgewater company wants to open a drive-through recreational marijuana retail facility in Kingston, Wicked Local reported.Marijuana retailer Giving Tree Health Center Inc. has entered into negotiations for two possible locations, one at 9 Gallen Road and the other 21 Marion Drive, according to Chief Executive Officer Brian Bairos.Bairos and Chief Operating Officer Brian McIsaac presented their plans to the Board of Selectmen Tuesday night at their first appointment before the board.They say the facility would be like a car wash, with measures in place to limit congestion and control traffic flow.Bairos said customers would pull into the building where they would be cleared by security checking the identifications of everyone in the vehicle to make sure they are over 21. They would then enter through another door where they would be able to choose from limited options.“That would just help with the congestion, help with traffic flow,” he said. “We don’t want huge lines.”Bairos said all the recreational marijuana products they sell would be their own, produced at their cultivation facility in Fall River.He said they would have an app customers would use to pre-order products and to check on approximate wait times. The facility would be retail only.McIssac, a Silver Lake graduate, said they are both local and want to bring revenue into “our towns.”Earlier in the meeting, the selectmen signed the town’s first host community agreement with a recreational marijuana retailer Tuesday night, but it’s not a sure thing, with state and further town approvals required.Kingston’s zoning allows for two recreational marijuana retail establishments.
