A few weeks ago we reported on a story coming out of the Denver Gazette in which they investigated the efficacy of some of the labs in the area. What they found is that in some of their samples, the THC was derived from CBD in an attempt to bypass some of the heavy regulations on THC.
Now, Colorado is again under fire for the presence of a banned pesticide in two harvest batches. A total recall has been initiated of all of the product.
Frustratingly, the batches passed through its first lab testing, and was sold from September 9th to March 26th of this year. The batches were then found to contain the illegal pesticide.
Here’s a passage from the Health and Safety Order: “Consumers who have this affected marijuana in their possession should destroy it or return it to the regulated marijuana store from which it was purchased for proper disposal. Consumers who experience adverse health effects from consuming the Regulated Marijuana should seek medical attention immediately and report the event to the Marijuana Enforcement Division by submitting a MED Reporting Form.”
10 recalls have occurred in Colorado just this year. The lax nature of lab testing in the state is becoming a huge health concern.
